I don't have kids... but do you leave people intoxicated on alcohol in charge of your kids?

because alcohol is legal... you are saying that if weed becomes legal, people in charge of children will do it when they wouldn't have prior.

alcohol is legal... is there an epidemic of drunk teachers going on that I haven't heard about?

Same goes for my work, with guns.

Even if you have a CHL, which is legal, possessing a firearm on company property is against corporate policy. Whether in your car or on your person.

So getting caught with one is grounds for termination. So am I more likely to bring my gun to work, because I have a CHL, than if I didn't?

Right now - losing your job, and the possibility of your employer turning you, and the pot over to the local authorities.

If it were to be made legal - you'd still lose your job.

You can't possibly be as dense as you are letting on.

    Oh but I will.

So if the same consequences, such as getting fired exist, the legalization would cause them to make worse judgement calls? Simply because it is not illegal to have the marijuana in their posession?

So because my work has no tobacco usage allowed on campus signs up, and I know that I'd be fired if I did get caught. Because I had cigarettes in my car I am more likely to say, "fuck my job, I'm smoking right here in the parking lot"?

Actually, I'm not naieve. I never said people don't drink at work. You are trying to put those words in my mouth. I drink at work 3-4 times a week. I said there are policies against it.

You know as well as I do that a very small percentage ever get canned for something like this.

Just like people with weed. They think they will never get caught and keep going and going....

I don't need to be high. Period.

We are wasting time here. You aren't going to change my opinion, just like I won't change yours.

    I think we're done here.

That's the thing. You sure seem to be pretty ignorant on the subject. Or else you wouldn't be comparing pot to crack.

I'm not trying to get you high. I'm saying that all of the knowledge you are spewing is second hand, and regurgitate from your super cop training, and dealing with a lot of the, as stated earlier, "underbelly of society".

Not everything has to be black and white.

But people handle pain differently, so not everyone getting shot acts the same, or feels the same pain.

    See what we're getting at?
