We are hiring associate equity analysts - $175k. You are a stock expert now, you should apply!Originally posted by Alex View PostWhat did you do to earn 100k annually?Originally posted by davbrucasI want to like Slow99 since people I know say he's a good guy, but just about everything he posts is condescending and passive aggressive.
Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?
You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

Generally, an MBA from a top school, CFA (or significant progress towards it, ie passed level 2), and some experience in Equity Analysis. Experience, to some degree, can offset some of these. One of the spots is on the Specialty Finance Team covering REITs ... so obviously an undergrad in Finance, years of experience in Real Estate Finance, and some progress towards the CFA could trump the MBA requirement. One of the available Associate spots is close to my space in Tech, so a lot of our guys have an MSEE, then MBA, and that will sub for the CFA requirement.Originally posted by Broncojohnny View PostWhat kind of qualifications? Experience matters, but MBA, CFA, and some stock analysis experience is the "typical" profile, if you will. Experience in the field/industry you'll be covering as a Stock Analyst is very beneficial. Once hired, the Analyst will have 3 months to pass the Series 7, 63, 66, 86, and 87. We have 6 positions available (following a shitty bonus season, lol) and all are in our NYC office.Originally posted by davbrucasI want to like Slow99 since people I know say he's a good guy, but just about everything he posts is condescending and passive aggressive.

I don't escrow though, so I get a nice tax bill each year, but I've held on to that money in the meantime and it (used to) draw a little interest...
And yes, I did have a nest egg stashed away that took a beating while I wasn't working. But, I'm glad it was there when I needed it. I'll have to start over with a new one. But at least I am not retiring tomorrow or the next day.....
Unemployment paid 830.00 every two weeks but that didn't cover all my bills, so I kinda went backwards, but it sure helped.
