Hot Rod Power Tour roll call

I'm sure that's one of the requests that Hot Rod makes of the City Fathers when they consider coming to a town. Don't need a bunch of Bedford type cops arresting people for not signaling a right turn. They'd have to put these cops in straight jackets for the day.

Good deal on the cops, they understand but also have a job. I was on the PT one year in Elk City (I believe) or Tulsa and the same happened. Hell, te cops were watching!! They just made sure no one did a high speed burn out or get crazy. Was cool.

Great shots Matt, I want a cd of it, too. Saw some cars on there that I missed elsewhere.
Got some cool short videos of a bunch hot rods in front of our hotel. After dinner, probably 7:30 or so, Juli and I grabbed a couple beers and lawn chairs and set up on the grass near Hall of Fame. People lined up on both sides of the street watching cars go by when this kid poured out a bucket of water and another guy wrote "Burn Out Box" on the bottom of a pizza box. It didn't take very long for everyone to get the idea. So right in the middle of traffic, guys started doing burn-outs. It only followed that a bunch of kids made score cards and would hold them up at the end of each burn out. Scores varied from "Weak" to "10". This went on till nearly dark when the police pulled up in two cars, turned on their lights, and just stood around. No one was arrested, given a ticket, or anything. Didn't take very long for the crowd to disperse. I gotta hand it to the SPD, that's "crowd control" at it's finest!
Can't wait for next year, doing to long haul.

Thanks Matt. I think the compliments from the Kenne Bell LS '69 Camaro were the icing on the cake.

You're welcome Keith.
It was good times, and Nathan, my 6 YO had a blast. He can't stop talking about it, but little brother is jealous. He got stuck with mom watching chick flicks and felt robbed. That's my boy!

Don't worry about the cost. I got this. I just need to stop and get some DVD mailers... I have plenty of DVDs.

I will get DVDs made for you, Keith, David, Brad, and Charles.
Oh, and Chris's car is bad ass. It surprised a BUNCH of people.
The funniest thing by FAR was people watching us all drive by. They were scanning the line, but when Keith's car rolled by, EVERYONE locked their eyes onto Keith's car in disbelief.
You could see them thinking "Damn, one of these cars sound wicked, which one... No WAY! Not the stock 95 Cobra!
Next year I need to make some kind of harness like movie companies have to lock me into a prone position in the bed of a truck. That would make shooting much easier.

I didn't get but about 10% of the pics I'd like to have gotten, but those that I did had some dandy ones.
Instead of uploading them to photobucket, I'm uploading them to my site for now.
No editing, just plain batch uploading. Be patient, it takes a while for the whole folder to upload.
Funny pic Keith, I think I swallowed a few bugs today!
Note: I wished the cars weren't parked so close. It made it hard to get good, clean side shots.

I had a good time too. Next year we need to do more stops, if not the entire the.

Huge thanks to Charles. Without him driving my (fuel) truck, I would not have made the show. I think by me bringing the entire garage we pretty much guaranteed we wouldn't have any mechanical issues. So thanks for giving me that assurance and good mechanical karma........well besides my rendition of a curb feeler that scraped the road the entire way to Stillwater.

Lots and lots of nice cars, just not 1% of enough time to look at the ones that interested me. The curing was cool, but I think cars got to Arlington while we were still in the starting county.
Our group was a good group to go with, but I sure wish I had my truck(with AC and bed cover) or my SVO, especially in the twisties!
Will do again, but will start prepping earlier, for sure.
I had a great time and it was good to put names and faces with screen names and posts. You guys were great and DiAnn and I enjoyed the company.
The section of 177 and 77 was by far my favorite. The twists and turns up Turner Falls actually had me wanting to turn around at the end and do it all over again. Thanks for putting up with my pace. Believe me, at the end of every run I was looking in my mirror to make sure we hadn't lost anyone.
Matt got TONS of great pics and I can't wait for him to start posting.
