Time to start getting ready. I thought by starting in February this year, I would be completely ready by June. Shit, not even close. Gonna be a fun ride. Hot, but fun. And Keith, good call on the 93 Octane
That would make life much easier lol! I'm in Shreveport for the week, the wife just called me said I better make room for another car seat in the super bee, he or she will be about 3 months old by then, hopefully will be able to stand a long car ride, lol.
well congrats, and a week in a car doesnt sound like any fun with a 3month old.

Well congrats. I think we will have to leave our youngin with the grandparents. Ours will be 7 months by the start of the tour.
Things I will do different this year.
Get the exhaust up closer to the underside even if I have to rebuild and dimple the 4" in a few areas.
Change the fuel and file in the ECU for 93 oct
Tint the windows
Box the radiator and try some BIGGER fans for those stupid traffic scenarios
My wife is already talking about it. She had a great time and enjoyed everyones company.
Better make that 91 octane, outside of the metroplex you rarely see 93.

Right? Kind of like me charging the a/c and putting the car back together the same day we all left for OK.
what was that stuff HPP used to throw in the cars to tune and dyno them? Torco or something... Might buy a case or two of that.
Just any octane booster might work. We ran a lead and octane additive in the '63, worked fine, but I've never actually ran a boosted car on an octane additive. I've always been skeptical if it actually works.

Its going to be interesting to take this trip. We are already talking about going to LR and then heading back and meeting the family who can trailer our bikes up to Hot Springs, and do some ridnig for a day or two.

It definitely helps. I had an '86 Turbo Coupe that I drove to California and without the Octane Booster, I would have screwed. You get out into New Mexico and they've never heard of 93 Octane.
My new Pinstriping delivery ride will be done by then and ready to roll !! I'm going to paint on the back window "Will Pinstripe For Food/Gas Money !".
I can't wait ! I would love to stripe cars the entire time I'm there.
