Perhaps the point of the post was to see if anyone had any better ideas for ways to go about cluing Chili's in as to what was going on.

Anyways, not wasting my breath on anyone here because nobody seems to be getting what I'm saying.
Actually I will be making a few phone calls about this as well when I get off work this evening. So take your dumb ass and GTFO.

We understand that you feel that it's a waste of time to try to bring something to the attention of the management because you don't think they will do anything. What YOU do not understand is that if you know how to work the corporate system and find the right people to talk to, things will happen.

I can't make the final call for Chili's, but I didn't just sit there in silence, either.

Perhaps you should articulate what you mean better.

And for the record, something was done, nobody is "fucking lazy".

First thing you can do is bring it to the manager of the location's attention and suggest he do some research about said couple and give him copies of the research you did as well. If for some reason he seems to not care (could be friends with said family) get in touch with the district or regional management. Usually by contacting the corporate office and telling them about the situation and that you have some information to pass to that store manager's superior you will get something done.

As someone else said as well, call the news and let them know about it. That is something they would be VERY interested in.

Who in their right mind is going to "do their own research" when they are just trying to eat lunch/dinner at Chili's, and part of the proceeds are going to some family who appears to have been dealt a bad hand? I'd even kick a few bucks extra to the cause.

These people are fucking sickening, manipulating the good will of others. Fuck em in the ass with hot branding irons. I hope these cocksuckers get outed on the news.

My issue is that they're playing on the sympathy and compassion of others when they have more money than most of the people they're soliciting donations from will see in a decade.

This is the last Give Back Night that Chili's did. http://southwesttyler.kltv.com/m/news/community-spirit/77100-its-haven-grace-give-back-day-local-chilis-restaurants#bmb=1
This little girl's family was left with a mountain of medical bills that they had no hope of repaying without help.
