Long story short...newly divorced guy. I kept the house, got close to a neighbor and well ummm yeah we had a little too much fun together.

Anyway her husband is back in town now and he found out. Now he's threatening to kill me, literally. I've been sleeping with my glock lately.

Any idea's on how to neutralize this threat?

just tell him it wont happen again because his wife is a dead fuck and she needs to practice sucking on the lollipop a little more.

I'll tell you what I know from personal experience. Texas divorce settlements RARELY, if ever grants alimony. Divorce judges see adultry cases day in, day out & don't care. Texas is a community property state, which means everything acquired during the marriage is split 50/50. There is a provision for the adulterous party getting 45%. So unless thier wealthy, the extra 5% won't cover the cost of the PI.

From what I have seen judge's could careless about infidelity when it comes to divorce. Custody is a different story. The judge that I deal with is very interested in what each parent is doing.

I must have sat in on several dozen family court hearings when I was trying to decide on my attorney. One thing that was clear to me is there are are just some people (men and women alike) that are just not suited to be parents.

since we don't know if the "victim" has children or not, since that's not relevant to the op's question, it could be a reflection on the wife's character, and have some impact on any custody battle that may or may not happen - i wasn't implying it was simply for the divorce in and of itself - or, he could be using it to show the in-laws why their daughter is getting divorced, one never knows -
