PS - I know you take a lot of these threads personally, and sometimes they are personal. But I'm talking about LE in general, not you specifically. I know you work hard at your (thankless) job and I respect you for that.

But I do think the power afforded LE and other government entities has tipped the scales and I would like to see it revert back. Otherwise we're just living under a fascist regime. Freedom means something to me, and part of that means the bad guys actually have to commit the crime, get caught by legal means, and receive fair treatment in a trial. There are a lot of anecdotes of LE that aren't willing to play by those rules and it pisses me off.

Zero, which I suspect is also the same experience you have, unless you're much, much older than I thought.

I'm well aware there have been many rights violations perpetrated by law enforcement throughout the various decades. Are you going to inform me of a few I missed? Or tell me that law enforcement has authority to temporarily suspend all civil rights in any "emergency situation" that they choose and for whatever length of time they choose?

I appreciate my rights and know them pretty well. I just don't think I would bother with freaking out about them wanting to search my car because I have nothing to hide. The 2 hours is quite a bit excessive though.

Aside from that, he didn't say the same basic things as he specifically referred to conversations on me that he had taken place in. Which brought forth the rest of that post.

I really don't have anything at all against him, never have, felt bad about his car being stolen and spotted in Galveston or wherever it was on it's way to Mexico. What I am tired of is people who don't know me talking shit. He just so happened, due to my mistake on identity, happened to vocalize something that is pissing me off right now. And others. We wonder why the board traffic is slowing, we discuss it, and fail to realize that maybe we need to look at this practice of attacking our own. Especially when it is done only to troll and make a select few pound each other on their backs.



If we met, it was at the Christmas party off Green Oaks, three years ago, and we talked for approximately 1.5 minutes. If that is all it takes for you to formulate an opinion on a person, I now know enough about you. As for previous disputes between us on this board, I don't recall any.
