Divorce really wreaks havoc on your 401k... hopefully I'll get back to maxing that again soon so I don't want to cry every time I see the 'new' balance. I'm working hard to pay off my house and would like to buy some small rental properties as a long-term income source. We'll see...

I really am not interested in retirement. I guess that is because I saw my Grandpa slowly die after he did. I've got to have something to do. I see myself working to 70 or 75 but I'm in IT so I know that won't likely happen unless I get my own consulting business running. When I do get to that age, I plan to keep working as a carpenter or some form of woodworking since that is one of my other passions.

However I do have a 401K, pension, IRAs from past 401k rollovers, and several investments.
