The difference being I shouldn't share my opinion in accordance with your personal morality. That's the whole point here. And that's what you refuse to acknowledge.

Now, if I called one of your dead relatives a piece of shit, that would be apples to apples. But I didn't, nor would I. Not in the same situation, anyways. Turns out the inoperable brain cancer is true, and shit like that is precisely why I didn't make a snap judgement like so many did.

You called me a pathetic piece of shit, don't you think that's kind of hypocritical? You also accused me of being holier than thou whilst forming an argument based on personal morality and then denying it. You can see the hypocrisy in that right?

I have literally no ego, nor pride invested in this deal. I've got nothing but the time spent typing my replies. And I'm not emotional about it, either. By the same logic, you would be emotional as well. I'm fairly certain you're not, and I know I'm not, so it's best not to make assumptions.

Oh, because I said your post came across as you making excuses with the PTSD crap in the other thread? Give me a fucking break... I stuck up for you when the entire board was bashing your insanity for your recent marriage. I did so, and respectfully cautioned you about what you were getting yourself in to. And had it been you that offed yourself, I'd have done the same here. I'm pretty fucking cold hearted myself, I just don't get why anyone would be so cold hearted as to call them a pussy or a piece of shit in such a sensitive situation.

okay wait.....so he might have had inoperable brain cancer? Well, that's a different story. I mean.....that's a pretty damned good reason.

And the same guys talking about dissrespect in one thread and then the first fucking thing they want to do is post nude pics of Scott's wife? i love this board

exactly. Might have been his biggest fear all his life was facing growing old and useless like so many people think they will be.

I dont think it is funny that he killed himself, it just blows my mind that someone like him would. I mean, what are your problems when you are Tony Scott? What made him do it?

The reason so many people do it is because they cant afford to get help. But when you are a master of the universe and you off yourself, it just makes me go huh?

Take me for instance. If I was able to smoke the best hydro every day of my life and be able to create art all day every day......well, i wouldnt have been depressed. Society wont let me smoke and my art is not worth millions cuz frankly it sucks. It makes me happy to do it.....but it is no Top Gun.

So, when i see someone busting his ass every day to get out of a rut and the world keeps slamming him down and he ends up offing himself, I can understand it much better than why Tony Scott would.

Maybe he did it because his biggest fear was of getting really old. Who knows?

Is it really hard to understand that it is more suprising to see a millionaire amazing director kill himself over a regular everyday guy?

It's a shame the guy was in that situation, realizing your own mortality. It's something I have always feared. But unfortunately I have had many close family members had this happen in the last two years, my father and my father in law. Honestly they are my heroes for dealing with it in such a respectful manner. I cannot think of a more difficult situation to be put in. And that's precisely why I'm so unsympathetic to suicide.

RICH AND SUCCESSFUL. You can get help from the FINEST doctors in the world. You can even pay them to stay at your house and treat you fulltime. You can AFFORD to get help. Money makes it easier to get help and change your life. No money just adds to the stress you are going thru.
