My friend I mentioned before left a suicide note, and one of his reasons for killing himself was the soft and compassionate reception another one of his friends received. I personally feel that the compassion society has for suicides contributes to the problem. You are asking me to have compassion, and you're castigating me for not feeling like you do

There is nothing logical about suicide. That's the whole thing. Nobody in their right mind commits suicide. People that commit suicide are out of their mind, in the sense that they think it makes sense. At the time, they think it's logical. At the time, they think it is the only solution. Otherwise, they wouldn't do it.

Just look at what you have done yourself in this conversation to make yourself feel better, and to "be right."

I've been through this, and I do not have compassion for it. I have compassion for his family and friends, and I have referenced that many times in what I've said.
