I don't think theyre worth the cardstock they were printed on anymore. Seems to me the only cards (with a few exceptions) that are worth anything are pre '85 in most cases, probably even more like pre '80. If most of those 50,000 cards are commons (your players like Ron Karkovice or Damon Berryhill) you may as well just dig out the good stuff and toss the rest in the dumpster.Originally posted by MILK View PostDamn this made me dig up all y xmen cards. Ive almost got the whole complete set of 95 Fleer Ultra and a few other badass collections. wonder if they are worth anything.Last edited by ELD3782; 12-28-2010, 04:35 PM.

you can buy that peyton rookie grade 9 on ebay for $40-Originally posted by mstng86 View Post1998 Fleer Ultra Peyton Manning rookie card
1989 Score Football rookie cards
1989 Upper Deck #1 Ken Griffey Junior
Probably a couple of more.
I wish Edgerrin James had finished out his career stronger, or at least stayed in Indy.
Griffey #1 PSA 10 for $389

Which is partly why I really don't do the hobby anymore.Originally posted by Denny View PostNo grade, no pay. You, my friend, have a couple of pieces of paper.
You kind of gamble opening packs.
You really gamble sending in your treasured card to be graded and finding out it isn't worth diddly poo.

I got out right before that started to show up. Late 90's early 00's.Originally posted by Denny View PostYep. Grading killed the hobby. I still got a cello pack unopened with a MacGuire rookie in front. I've got tons of unopened from 82-87
Funny thing is, I really think that hobby is why I stay away from gambling. I almost felt addicted when looking at unopened packs. It was probably better for me to get away from it.
