I don't think theyre worth the cardstock they were printed on anymore. Seems to me the only cards (with a few exceptions) that are worth anything are pre '85 in most cases, probably even more like pre '80. If most of those 50,000 cards are commons (your players like Ron Karkovice or Damon Berryhill) you may as well just dig out the good stuff and toss the rest in the dumpster.

              Probably a couple of more.

I wish Edgerrin James had finished out his career stronger, or at least stayed in Indy.
you can buy that peyton rookie grade 9 on ebay for $40-

              Griffey #1 PSA 10 for $389

Not only mass produced during that time period (85-00), but that is basically the time period of the steroids. The Jose Canseco era.

I don't need to buy them. I have them.

                  I haven't graded them though.

No grade, no pay. You, my friend, have a couple of pieces of paper.

Which is partly why I really don't do the hobby anymore.

You kind of gamble opening packs.

You really gamble sending in your treasured card to be graded and finding out it isn't worth diddly poo.

Yep. Grading killed the hobby. I still got a cello pack unopened with a MacGuire rookie in front. I've got tons of unopened from 82-87

No, not you. The REAL King.

Yeah, that's Bruce Campbell as Sebastian Haff as Elvis Presley, so double awesomeness and a half!

I got out right before that started to show up. Late 90's early 00's.

Funny thing is, I really think that hobby is why I stay away from gambling. I almost felt addicted when looking at unopened packs. It was probably better for me to get away from it.
