The reason I sold my GT with the 1.7L Kenne Bell back in April of 2006 was because premium gas was $4.60/gal.

I'm not near as bad off as some, but when a gallon of gas costs the hourly minimum wage, you better watch out. Thieves will get theirs, at your expense.

Grapevine PD caught a guy drilling gas tanks recently. The cost of the repair is going to be outrageous, kinda like the scumbags that sawzall the converters off of SUVs.

    Remember this little tidbit:

When I was in the Middle East for Desert Storm, gas was a NICKEL a gallon over there.

Right! You cant tell me we can clone animals & have face to face video chat over a cell phone. But we cant get off oil! Yep if it smells like shit & looks like shit. It must be SHIT!

Im just wondering when these gas prices are going to come to a head in this country

I put a thousand miles a year on my car, and get gas so infrequently, that I often pull up to the wrong side of the pump (car filler neck is on the opposite of my truck).

The increase sucks, especially for the couple roadtrips a year, but I won't fret too much.

I'd be interested to know the actual margins on each step of the refining process. I've read that the gas stations make very little, and I understand the increase due to additives, but the oil industry has us by the balls, and they know it.

Your talking to the KING of No Car Payments or any payments for that matter. I own all my cars & my land & everything on it! My inlaws wonder why they are broke. I tell them. Your driving all that extra money every month. Thats why your broke!

I just hate that when gas goes up. So does food & everything else! You dont just feel pain at the pump! You feel it in every part of your everyday life

I could be wrong it would not be the first time. I just figured it played a role in it for all the people just barely getting along. Domino effect?

I believe the five dollar a gallon mark "may have helped " the economy crash the first time. Let it stay at five for any amount of time and watch. Lots of people living on the edge to keep up with the neighbors and it doesn't take much. Plus every damn thing goes up when gas peaks.
