Buying a used car??

I've always bought from dealerships but in regards to cheap used cars do you feel comfortable buying from private sellers or those small car dealers??

Seems when I find something I like from a private seller it's a rebuilt or salvage title.

I'm just so weary of those routes

I used to always try to buy fairly new and from a dealership. I would usually get a warranty of some sort and other incentives. After the first 1-2 and how much i got raped on new car cost I stopped.

I hate dealing with small dealerships. The slimy salesmen make me want to punch a baby. Plus I don't feel like I've got much of a recourse with a small dealer.

You have to filter through sketchy people, shit cars, and general scammers, but in the end it's worth it for sure.
My father only bought one car new (1984), and we still have it. To this day it is the most expensive car we have purchased, lol.

I prefer to buy from a private seller, but you have to filter through so many scumbags to find a good car. I have a small dealership and I try to have both good cars and fair prices. Since I am the mechanic, you can bet your ass that the cars are going to be ready to go.

I you nabe half pf a god damn brain then you can tellmif the used car is a good one or not. As long as you have some good mechinc skills, you should be able to tell if the car is good or not.

That isn't always true. There are some dirty, dirty tricks in the book for concealing a problem, some of which aren't visible or easy to check.
