I don't know for sure, but two things come to mind.

There's tech for a reason and who's going to foot the bill for the rental?

I agree with tech, my fast car is legal but not runnin yet as u know, and my slower car doesn't need anything tech'd, and I have a helmet lol.

If said fast cars pass tech at either of the eigth tracks, shouldn't they pass at a qtr mile track? I do know DR doesn't really tech, so maybe we could just go there? I ran 10s in my Vette half a dozen times and was never yelled at for a roll bar/cage.

Just tryin to mix it up a little, not trying to stir up any trouble.

*1/4 mile, probably not - as a lot of our people may not be 'legal' for the times they'd run.

We did an event a few years back where we met up in Irving. Drove to the track and made 3 passes back to back to back.

Fast408 won in his capri, with something like a 5.40 average.

The mobile dyno is expensive, as I think most of them want to be paid for X time, and not per dyno from waht I remember.

How about a average time awards like they do for NMRA true street where the average of 3 runs closest to the .0 time takes an award . That way a guy with a 6.0 , 7.0 , 8.0 , 9.0 , 10.0 average can get an award . It would let everybody have a shot at something . Make it a small prize and give more of them .
