This is a friend of a friend's blog. Basically, their yellow lab got out and was picked up by the New Braunfels animal shelter. The family called multiple times and were told that no labs had been picked up. They were finally told that she was picked up and adopted out. The family asked the shelter to reach out to the new family and explain the situation. They offered to reimburse the adoption fee, pay them a $100 for their inconvenience, and buy a puppy or pay the adoption fee for a new dog. The new family declined, saying that they had gotten too attached to Molly in their 20 hours of ownership. :-(

There is NO way I could keep a dog, knowing that it had a loving family missing it.

x2. I'd make their life a living hell. Call the police and file theft charges on them. Put up fliers, call the media, you name. I wouldn't stop till everyone that lived within a 2 mile radius knew what kind of pieces of shit they were.
