If I've said it once, I've said it a million times.
I've never worked a single car fatalaty accident where speed wasn't a contributing factor.
Speed has nothing to do with it, the deceleration is the problem.
The kid was stupid, if he survives he should be extremely grateful.

That being said, unless their was a mechanical flaw that caused them to rocket down the road at 150 mph, he did it on purpose. Whether or not he anticipated that conclusion is irrelevant. If you drive at the posted speed limit and are involved in a crash, that is an unfortunate accident. Being willfully irresponsible with your life and others is neither unfortunate, or an accident.....by definition.

In true DFWM tradition, I must call BS. I don't believe the '11s can do 150 mph.
In all seriousness though, we can all point out the problems and we all know them. None of them matter at this point to the families of those young adults. I do wish them the best.Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.

No alcohol or death involved, fortunately. Yes, high speed on the street is a very bad decision, but I'm just asking for support here...lessons to be learned from this accident are inevitable.

Leave it to human nature to let us tear each other apart over another person's tragedy.
I'm out
Hope you get well Jon
