Music/Reading?

Classical music sure. I listen to music, so if it has lyrics I'll pay attention to it. Since a song is supposed to effectively have a plot, it defeats the purpose of reading a book if I am paying attention to a song.

Depends on the music. I listen to a lot of instrumental type music when studying for class, reading, taking photos. Helps me focus

I listen to books on tape while listening to music. Yeah, I'm pretty hardcore.

I sometimes read with the TV and The Ticket on at the same time but usually not music. I find myself having to re-read pages because I wasn't paying attention. Normally better to read without the other media.

If I'm to focus 100% on what I'm reading, I need silence. And even then I need to focus on not letting my mind wonder on other things. A lot of times what I'm reading reminds me of something else and I start thinking about that, and my comprehension goes out the window. Maybe I have ADD or something.
