I love New Orleans. Going back pretty soon for the first time since I was 20. Didn't have a bad meal the entire time I was there last time.

Their PO boys are good as well. The muffuletta is awesome, but so many people don't like them.

I go for the food and drinks, place called the Funky Pirate has splashes their long islands with coke and sour, not the other way around. I cannot stand sweet drinks. Also has drinks the girlies like that are strong.

Cafe du Monde is a must, been to Central Market and of course going back, and think we will hit up Olivers this time. I have a been to a ton of places there but forget the names of most. Almost every place there has great food.

We are going during Mardi Gras so I guess I will be going for the boobies this time too.

I suppose I'm one of very few who appreciates the history, the culture, and the sights. NO is the only thing worthwhile in LA. Shreveport is far worse IMO. Politics may not be as crooked there, but it still sucks out loud.

Bacco Lobster Ravioli is superb unfortunately they are in the process of finding a new location, Commander's Palace, Muriel's Jackson Square, Willie Mae's Scotch House for unbelievable fried chicken, Nola, The Joint (non-tourist dive BBQ), Central Grocery for a Muffaletta, and Cafe du Monde to start the day.

I second Commander's Palace, along with Cochon, Napolean House, Cafe du Monde and Capdeville for a chill afternoon.

K Paul's is my favorite dinner spot of all I listed, btw. For those that don't know, it's Chef Paul Prudhomme's place.

Cafe du Monde & Mulates. I've never been to the New Orleans location but there used to be one in Baton Rouge that had good food & often live Cajun music. Nothing fancy but a comfortable place.
