Think of this.. An average stripper gets $20 for grinding on your weinus for 3-5 minutes. Why should you give more than that to someone who just carried your food to you, and refilled you drink.

I dont get lap dances from average strippers. They have to be above average to get my attention.

We tipped in Germany, mostly because we were asshole americans and they tried very hard to help us out when we couldnt read the menu and they had to speak to us in a language that wasnt thier first. Tipping is not customary or even somewhat normal, so they were constantly trying to give us our change back. I would hand it back to them and say "thank you for your help" and they generally got it, and were very thankfull.

I tip pretty well, usually ~20% of the tab plus some if the server gave us good service. I also tip $1 per drink usually on top of that.

That's just silly. I eat out at least 4 or 5 times a week, a I normally tip 20-30% for decent service. That's plenty. Why not just tip 200-300% of you have a burning desire to give a bunch of your money to a waiter?

Naw, it was just because she was very nice and it was obvious that she wasn't going to be making much since the place was empty. Most waitresses would be pissy because the place was empty, she was nice and very professional even though she was not making much that day.

As a matter of point, I tip most of the time, and I tip well when it warrants. When I get some waitress that chooses to be a bitch and ignore her costumers, her tip suffers. I look at it this way. If I go out to eat, I plan on tipping. If I dont feel like tipping I go get fast food or go to the grocery store. Stevo, you seem like a cheap asshole.
