how much is everybody paying for internet? i called Verizon, and i only save $40 if i cancel cable...right now I'm paying $45 for my internet, its goes but to $75 without cable.

$19.95 for u-verse internet only, with no TV or home phone service.

In same boat as you basically. Live in an area comparable to where you live (borderline "sticks") and only 1 provider.

The OTA service rocks, I use it in my shop and get plenty of channels. I live further north than you do south - so I'd assume you'd get more channels. (Only hesitation is I get Sherman channels too)

I am considering it and going back to the antenna. There isn't shit on cable worth watching and I'm paying over $100 a month for 15 commercials every 8 min. on most channels.

Many of the commercially sold indoor HD antennas are amplified. Possibly that feature being missing from your homemade one caused the less-than-impressive results.

You're probably right. It's definitely considered rural where I'm at lol.
