Hey guys, as you all know my dad and I run an outdoors oriented blog (www.lonestarchronicles.com) from which I have posted a couple stories in this thread. Someone nominated us for kayak angler blog of the year and we somehow made it to the second round! Would love to make it to the final round, so if yall liked the stories I put up and could vote for us that would be awesome. Theres no signing up, not submitting your email, you simply click and vote. There are a couple other categories it will bring up, you can just click next if you dont want to vote for those. Thanks for any and all help!

My schedule just changed, so I'll actually be at work tomorrow. I'm down for a weekday if anyone else is free.

All of my yaks are self bailing so there's that too.

I realize it is on the other side of town but Kayak Instruction rents kayaks on the weekends at Paddle Point Part on Lake Ray Hubbard. They setup right on the water so you don't have to worry about carting the yak around. They have a great selection as well. Great way to "test the waters" with minimal effort. I have been fishing from kayaks since 2006 and have owned many different models. Feel free to PM me with any questions as well.

Shameless plug: I have a Jackson Cuda 14 for sale for $875. PM if interested.

Yeah, the downtown Fort Worth location. Looking at the weather it's pretty much set to rain all weekend for the next two weekends. If it was a 10% chance and a couple of sprinkles I wouldn't care, but I'm not going to go out there to get drenched, especially on a first outing with no experience.

I should have rain gear you can use if interested. Will have to dig a little but shouldn't be too hard to find. Pants and hooded jacket. Otherwise, run to Target or WalMart and buy a cheap pair. That's where ours is from.

I'm really looking to get into this stuff. My buddy has a kayak he said I can borrow, and I'd be down for Saturday.

If it's in the 70's, I'll go out in the rain.
