How long does it take for LEOs to get a warrant for blood in a suspected DWI? Not long, or the alcohol will metabolize. So why not have that quick of a turn around on this since its public safety?

Might be difficult to get a warrant for a chunk of land with no address associated with it.

If they want one, they can get one rapidly. This isn't about public safety, it's a nose under the tent.

If the tax office can figure out how to tax you for it, then they can figure out an address. A little more legwork required does not supersede private property rights

Purple paint marking property as "no trespassing" is no doubt the inference.

If it bothers you, simply toss chlorox filled water balloons towards said bodies of water or ask them to do something about it.

So let me get this right, if they pull over some asshole and he smells like booze they can get a warrant in a matter of minutes because the state and the legal machine stands to make tons of money from a DWI convition. But if there is an abandoned house it takes weeks to get someone to pay attention. Seems legit to me, I am sure this law would never be abused!

took em less than a week to get a warrant last summer after my wife told them to pound sand. They showed back up with warrant and an officer in tow.

Then the judge got a nasty letter from me about my property rights being violated and such. Unwarranted and no probable cause other than us telling them NO. Overstepping their bounds.

Go down to the dollar tree and buy a few gallons of bleach and dump it in if it is uninhabited. Who will say anything? Hell, have a party after you get it swim-able. If the rest of the neighbors show up for the party, who will "tell" on ya?
