It depends. Is what he's selling, usually selling for that? If it used and started at $200, $100 used is likely good. When I sell stuff on CL, I list the price it should sell for, not some marked-up bullshit price. The low balls usually get ignored, or an answer back like "I'll take my asking price", and very seldom have to call them a fucktard.

I'm not sure I would give anyone a false address, but I've had had a couple of cheap bastards that made me think they deserve things like that.

Although I agree somewhat, I guess that is the point it wouldn't happen for a reason of lowballing, I would never ask someone selling a $100.00 dollar item to take $25.00. If I can't afford a close range of the asking price I just can't offord it.

How many of these lowballer would just give a random stranger 75 bucks just for asking? No one would. I don't know you and I'm not loosing money because you want more than you can afford.

I usually raise my asking price when I counter the lowball offer and tell them it's an up charge to deal with dumbasses. Every time they respond in anger just reply with a higher number until they go away.

My thought exactly...I always price my shit fair in the first place. Some people just have to feel like they are getting over on you....I swear if you were only asking a penny there are still some dicks out there that would try to offer a wooden nickel.

You can almost guarantee he would be one of those that when he got there to look at/pick up the item that he would nitpick the living shit out of it and try to Jew even further off of the agreed price.

LMAO! Yeah, wifey has GS to sell off old baby/toddler clothes, toys & misc items every spring & fall and I hate it. She haggles with everyone and gets the most she can out of them; it's way too much of a headache for me. I tell 'em give me $5 and they can have all they can carry...

Of course, I'm not allowed to be at these anymore.

On another note, I've gotten so damned tired of the low ballers that I decided to screw the hell out of one a month or so ago when I had a forklift for sale....I looked around and priced the thing about $800 less than anything remotely close to it that I could find for sale, and was explicit that my price was firm no BS....yet I of course still had several dicks email with lowball offers....one of which just happened to email right as I was coming in to remove the ad (the same morning it sold), and he had balls enough to offer literally 1/2 what I was asking.....so I emailed him back and said, yeah man I think I actually priced this thing too high after-all, if you'll come and get it I'll take that, but you've got to be here by noon (it was 9am on a Friday)....I gave an address for an old vacant farm house that is about a mile from my place, and he replied he was on the way...never asked for a phone number.

He emailed back around 1:10pm and said he was running late but on the way....yeah, that much of an inconsiderate asshole. I replied and said No Prob!

The Dude eventually sent me an email around 4pm asking where I was...he was "at the end of my driveway at the gate". Instead of revealing that I was teaching him a lesson entirely I just replied and said that he was supposed to be here by noon, someone else showed up before him and paid asking price.

I probably should have revealed how bad I was playing him to teach him a lesson on that low-ball shit, but I felt guilty. So he probably still thinks it was his own fault for being so late. He never replied again.
