    Baller!

You shouldn't be offended by ANY offer if you don't give an asking price! I fucking hate it when I ask someone to give me a price and they say make me an offer!!! Fuuuuuuck... A dick kick is my offer then.

That's such a generous offer. Did you vote for Obama ?

    HIS RESPONSE:

Seriously you do not have to be an asshole. I'm in highschool still and do not have a lot of money I'm just trying to find one for cheap for my restoration project How about you put a freakin price on it

Just to be clear, your the one selling? Because if you are, I do believe that you lost that sale at "Obama".

Just my opinion. People skills go a long way when you are trying to sell an item.
I would have told you to shove it up your ass, personally.

Put a friggin price if you do not want the grief for God sake!

I heard a story about someone at a swap meet who found a NOS black steering wheel for 67 mustang for $50.00. He offered the guy $35.00. Seller countered with $75.00. Guy ended up paying $150.00

    Oh really?

I take it back - you give $1 you are just asking for whatever people give. Guy gave a low, but decent price considering.

On another note, I've gotten so damned tired of the low ballers that I decided to screw the hell out of one a month or so ago when I had a forklift for sale....I looked around and priced the thing about $800 less than anything remotely close to it that I could find for sale, and was explicit that my price was firm no BS....yet I of course still had several dicks email with lowball offers....one of which just happened to email right as I was coming in to remove the ad (the same morning it sold), and he had balls enough to offer literally 1/2 what I was asking.....so I emailed him back and said, yeah man I think I actually priced this thing too high after-all, if you'll come and get it I'll take that, but you've got to be here by noon (it was 9am on a Friday)....I gave an address for an old vacant farm house that is about a mile from my place, and he replied he was on the way...never asked for a phone number.

He emailed back around 1:10pm and said he was running late but on the way....yeah, that much of an inconsiderate asshole. I replied and said No Prob!

The Dude eventually sent me an email around 4pm asking where I was...he was "at the end of my driveway at the gate". Instead of revealing that I was teaching him a lesson entirely I just replied and said that he was supposed to be here by noon, someone else showed up before him and paid asking price.

I probably should have revealed how bad I was playing him to teach him a lesson on that low-ball shit, but I felt guilty. So he probably still thinks it was his own fault for being so late. He never replied again.

I think the problem is personal value - sellers have too much of it and buyers have no need for it. If he's asking $200 OBO, the thought of the buyer is "I should be able to jew him down to $120, I'll start at $80" and in the mind of the seller, he's thinking $199.95.
