I do enjoy the hypocrites on FB that are for gay marriage but want to stomp on my 2A rights. Quoting Yoda - Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering. Yes, I am not afraid of you being a ...mo and you shouldn't be afraid of my black gun.Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

Read this article, but ignore the Christian and Bible references. It's the clearest argument against gay marriage I've read.
Voddie Baucham tells us that there is no legal, logical, moral, biblical, or historical reason to support same-sex ‘marriage.’

There IS no argument against gay marriage, just as there is no argument against 2 consenting adults doing whatever the fuck they want to do as long as it isn't harmful to someone else. "Quick, someone is doing something I don't like! Make a law disallowing it immediately!" I don't see why people can't mind their own goddamned business and stop worrying about how other people live their lives. Especially when I typically note the disrepair the offended parties life is usually in.

He was using evidence from the Bible, what do you expect?Originally posted by racrguy View PostYour source is woefully ignorant of biology and history.
The gays and lesbians have bars because it has the tendency to make others uncomfortable, and if a homosexual person accidentally hits on a heterosexual person there could be dire consequences for it. By specifying their own atmosphere, they rule that out and can be comfortable among like-minded individuals. As far as flags, I see confederate flags around every day, what's the difference between the two cases? Propaganda? Really? WTF propaganda have you seen around promoting gay rights?Originally posted by FordMustangLove View PostStop trying to seclude yourself from the rest of the population with your gay only bars\flags\propaganda . I was talking about this with a friend telling him I thought they wouldn't have any reason to uphold DOMA or Pro 8 and he mentioned something interesting: Sexual preference is not a protected "class" like age, race, and gender. Given that, what legal justification does SCOTUS have to overturn DOMA? Can they make it a protected class with their ruling, or would it have to be done by new law?
(Now maybe it should be a protected class, I'm just talking about current law though.)
Edit: I'm also curious how this might affect marriage to multiple people? Is there any reason we could allow Gay marriage but not polygamy?Last edited by slow06; 03-27-2013, 02:06 PM."A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have."

I have never heard of a straight bar or restaurant? Does that actually exist?Originally posted by racrguy View PostSo, it's cool for all of the heterosexual businesses to do it, just not homosexual ones. Why are you lumping those two together? Polygamy is already illegal, you can't marry more than one person. Why would it be any different?Originally posted by slow06 View PostI was talking about this with a friend telling him I thought they wouldn't have any reason to uphold DOMA or Pro 8 and he mentioned something interesting: Sexual preference is not a protected "class" like age, race, and gender.
