Who fucking cares about polygamy? I sure as shit don't. What people do in their bedroom doesn't bother me a single bit.

Man.. I posted this right before I went to bed. I woke up expecting a bunch of bible thumping ignorant replies but find many people who share my opinion.
The polygamy thing is a very valid concern as well as Keith's old uncle marrying niece. These again are based off of morality and we can look back through history where both of these were once common. Our morality has shifted and now does not allow these. I agree this is a very slippery slope.

Why should government have a say over any of it? I don't give a fuck if you want to have 22 kids with your sister and all 7 of her best friends, as long as she's a consenting adult.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

I am not going to read the whole thread because I already know what the generic responses are going to be. Just gonna put in my .02.
I don't really give a rats ass if gays marry or not, it's their life, the government shouldn't have any say in it. I would be a hypocrite if in one breath I say that the government shouldn't tell me what types of guns I can own, or what size soft drink I can have, but in another breath, I say that gay marriage should be banned.
I don't like it, but it shouldn't be banned. The absolute only problem that I have with gays is the same problem that I have with organized religion, the ones that want to flaunt it and make you accept it. It's your life, keep it that way, you don't need a holiday, you don't have to have parades, you don't have to act like a total fucking doucebag in public just because you can.

Brent.. Im very libertarian and I agree. Polygamy doesnt bother me really but the uncle marrying niece does. The incestuous relationship is a problem and can lead to inbreeding problems.Originally posted by bcoop View PostWhy?

The prophet Muhammad married a wife (one of many) when she was six and first consumated the marriage when she was nine. Slippery slope indeed.Originally posted by 8mpg View PostMan.. That's really the only reason I can think of, health issues. But I don't really think it's the Fed's right to say anything about it at all. They can't really force sterilization in those situations. I think if anything it should be left to the State level. Marriage isn't mentioned anywhere in the Constitution, or Bill of Rights. Which is exactly why I can't understand why the Federal Govt has any say in the matter at all. If it were at least left to the States, all the homosexuals could go to MA, MD, and CA. And all the sister fuckers can migrate to Arkansas. That way it's not outright banned, they still have refuge somewhere in the US.Originally posted by 8mpg View PostThe incestuous relationship is a problem and can lead to inbreeding problems.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.
