I can't type enough to elaborate but all of these charges were thrown out and have been expunged. The bond alone cost me 45k. I wanted to file a complaint with the bar on the DA but he killed himself.

What the hell situation led up to all that bullshit? Not doubting it, but had to be something crazy to have that many charges stacked up even with several of them being bogus.

I can only speak from hat I've seen and what's been told to me by my friends that are attorneys. I know I worked a capital murder case where the attorney went to trial and it was around $20k + an older Harley Davidson motorcycle. That's hardly 200k...

My CHL instructor, who is also a recently retired US Marshall, shot and killed someone in personal defense before going in to LE. They charged him because it was before the "stand your ground" laws and they felt he could have "retreated". He said it cost him something like $120k for the criminal, which he beat, and then another $70k or so to defend himself against lawsuit from the family of the deceased. That was in the 90's. He said he just finished paying all of that off a few years ago.

That is what I had to give to a bond company and that doesn't get returned to you. The total bond was nearly 600k. I posted cash for the first charge but when I demanded a trial he kept adding new made up charges that came with a new warrant and a new bond. It got old fast.

Exactly how much do you think that a top notch attorney will charge you for just one serious case that is going to a jury trial? I once forked over 76k to get a friend out of the pen (didn't work, he is still there) and there wasn't even a trial just lots of appeals.

So these parents were okay with him touching their kids because he paid them? That doesn't sound hard to believe at all.

Trailer trash and the payments were made after his death. He also used his influence as a DA to gain access to children by getting charges dropped or lessened against family members of the children. How many meth heads do you know that will sell their children's asses so they can stay free to continue using meth? The answer is "All of them".

He also had ongoing long term sexual relationships with several young boys that has been covered up and whose families have received cash hush money along with non-disclosure agreements.
