What people are trying to say in this thread is that there is no oversight of the people who prosecute crimes in this country. It is entirely possible for a prosecutor to intentionally lock someone up for decades and not face any penalty even when they are outed. That shit needs to change.
I have no idea if the DA in question was involved in anything like this. Who knows.

ThisOriginally posted by jewozzy View Postyou spent over $200,000 defending yourself? what type of case? I find that highly unlikely. not impossible but there had to have been one hell of a case for that ammount to be spent...
And can we get some cause numbers to see the feat?

Any more to that story? That's kind of a cliffhanger with no background on what happened. You cant honestly say going thru the legal system in a third world country would be better? Unless it would just be cheaper to pay them off, lol.Originally posted by svo855 View PostMe.

They are politicians who hold the power of life or death over you and cause an amount of harm to society that is impossible to comprehend all in the name of protecting the people whom for the most part they are harming. Fuck them all; even the "Honest" ones.

I will agree with that if you change the last word to CHOICES...Life's about CHOICES , some people are stupid and make poor choices. Most are lazy and make bad choices....It's not always easy to do the right thing, but it sure pays off in the long run.Originally posted by David View PostThat all being said, most people in the system are a product of their own dumbass mistakes.

Most counties DAs offices offer a diversion program that is offered for first time offenders of minor offense. If you successfully complete it your case is dismissed. Doesn't really sound like railroading.
