FYI; we do not have a justice justice system in this country, any and all pretext of that ended in the mid 80s. We now have a legal system and unless you are loaded you had better pray that you never get caught up in it for any reason.

I don't deny there are problems, but agreeing with killing people that are only "guilty" by association or the fact that they are an "official" is stupid and short sighted. That's like saying because 1 mechanic screwed someone over that they are all crooks. That's the logic I am seeing here and its stupid.

Walking away would be like negotiating with terrorists. If they walk away from this then they'll be making a statement that if you're violent enough then you won't be prosecuted.

A few postings above thought the killing was acceptable because prosecutors "fu%K" people over all the time and the justice system doesn't work...

Now that they feel the need to defend themselves, it's not only OK, but semi-mandated by a gun control advocate. I love it.

watkins is a good friend of my cousin, former prosecuting attorney for dallas co. That dude is fuckin shifty as hell at work but outside he is a cool ass dude. I have met quite a few of the judges/attorneys for dallas county at my cousin's parties. its weird getting drunk with them and everyone leaving more than tipsy at the same time

Yeah, we don't have any issues in this country with overzealous / wrongful prosecution. I'm not saying this guy did that - and I'm damn sure not saying he didn't - but it does happen and it does ruin people's lives.

The low level criminals and drunks get railroad'd all the time. Most rich people or people with money will buy their way out of most situations, but cartels, AB and prople with real money will not tolerate getting fucked over. Police are being kept in check by video cameras, but DA offices have been untouchable for very long time and now there seems to be a shift in people not taking it anymore.
