Thanks for the quick responses guys. This happened last weekend and neighbors weren't totally up front with me about this guy till today. We have a security system on the house already (removed the one he installed and put a new one in), and the police are quick to respond to it. I set it off on accident a few times. Also have some home protection incase it escalates. Taking the wife to the shooting range on Saturday. I'm swinging by Frys and getting some cameras and such tonight. The neighborhood is pretty tight and watches out for each other, although I'm not thrilled that this guy's weirdness was hidden from us for a while. I understand that our neighbors didn't want to creep us out, but I would have like to have known a while back. I was wondering why everyone was so excited that we moved in, now it makes perfect sense.

I dont understand what a mic in the attic could possibly be used for....other than listening in on the attic, maybe I will sit in my attic and have a listen this evening.

I know this is an old post, but the attic is a good spot, plenty of hiding places and you can easily drill into the drywall below and listen in on that room.

Our neighbor two doors down had been seeing someone come by and scope their house and backyard for several months. Word went out to all the homeowners in the area, even posted a prowler/peeping tom alert.

Over the weekend a little kid heard something outside their window and her brother ran outside and confronted him in the side yard.....with a fire extinguisher. Lit that fucker up.

Cops were called and on the lookout, the busted him a few blocks away. Was easy to spot and identify.
