^^^ Eh, I'd like it a lot more without that hideous Nike swoosh on the rear fender.

<Cooter> Whatever car I could pick up for right at $300k then sell it and pick up a speedway white c5 z06. <Cooter>

If the whole "pocket the rest of the budget" option is out of play, I think I'd go F430.

It's nice to know that I'm not the only person with a car boner for an r8. Those things are fucking sexy. Not the best performer, but it's a nice balance of all the cool shit. V10 (who wants to fuck with the v8?) flappy paddle gearbox that supposedly is leaps and bounds better now that they've got a dual clutch 7 speed in there, GORGEOUS looks, and a damn fine interior.

Edit FGT is a damn fine choice too.
And? It wasn't what is the fastest car you want.

I would be forced to call Factory5 and order a cobra, 33, 65 coupe, and gtr.

Probably not, but I wouldn't want an original anyway. I want to go fast and scare the shit out of myself, not add it to my investment portfolio. One of those aluminum continuation 289 FIAs with a rock-solid drivetrain would do nicely.

Ford GTs are neat, but if you've never driven a mid-engine RWD car, it's gonna be a handful. There's a reason why just about every FGT that is actually driven, has been wrecked. If you try to push it anywhere near the limit, you're gonna find the limit real fast and it'll be too late. It is really one of the last real raw sportscars to be produced. No traction control, no stability control, real manual gearbox, uncomfortable seats, no glovebox, etc. Don't get me wrong, they are cool as hell and seem to hold their value better than any other supercar in the last ten years, but it's a very unforgiving car!

A Ford GT would be fun, I really like the lines.\

I have this idea in my head to put a tube frame chassis under a 70's GT40 repro/replica body, for a trackable street toy.
