Last I heard 20 was shut down. People have been stranded there for 26 hours.Originally posted by phaux View PostComing back from Houston to Arlington in a few hours. Left on Friday at noon and it wasn't too bad. How bad is it now? Coming up 45 to 20, then west to Bowen. Any highways shut down or to completely avoid?

They have backhoes to pull you out on location. lol I don't know. I agree. I guess when you order fleet trucks and you get the stripped down models, 4wd is more money than they want to spend. I had a 1 ton dually gin pole truck when I ran service in the Barnett and it was 2WD. I rarely ever got stuck.Originally posted by Sean88gt View PostHow in the hell do you work in anything "field" and not have 4wd?

It's funny a lot of the oilfield service companies send up fleet trucks from Texas/Oklahoma/Louisiana and none of them are 4wd.

The Nissan 720 4x4 is 100% useless until its 4x4 is engaged. Once it is, it's a total beast.
