I agree, but it would have been a lot better for A&E and everyone involved (besides maybe GLAAD) to just issue a disclaimer that Phil's personal opinions don't express those of the network as Baron said below.

He has some good points, but he's also pretty ignorant. If anyone actually thinks A&E is going to go under over this, well... They're idiots. Everyone that's in an uproar right now won't even remember what happened by the time the next season starts. Whether it be on A&E or elsewhere.

I really do not understand why this continues to be such a big deal. Last I checked, people are still able to think and speak freely. Yes, people get offended. Good. The moment that everyone has been completely broken of their spirit and will to think freely, is the moment that we are doomed.

I am not against homosexuality. I honestly do not care. I am, however, tired of hearing about how "hateful" someone is simply because they feel it is wrong. Big.Fucking.Whoop. Hosting huge "gay pride" parades does nothing positive for homosexuals. It is nothing more than a "look at me, look at me" display. You're here, you're queer, we ARE use to it already. Give it a rest. I have several gay friends that have even stated that they would never go to one of those parades because they are stupid and attract unnecessary attention.
