Lmao, somebody is out there marketing that bullshit. I've heard it from 3 different people I know who live there.Originally posted by davbrucasI want to like Slow99 since people I know say he's a good guy, but just about everything he posts is condescending and passive aggressive.
Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?
You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

I was looking to build a house through Highland in Prosper, they kept bringing it up, I finally had to tell them that my wife works in Plano and me in McKinney.Originally posted by SilverbackLook all you want, she can't find anyone else who treats her as bad as I do, and I keep her self esteem so low, she wouldn't think twice about going anywhere else.

For us it's to be closer to certain family members. From what I've been told, Midlothian is really nice and you can find great deals on property out there...it's just in the wrong direction.Originally posted by joes01bullitt View Postjust out of curiousity why go up north if there are places like midlothian, waxahachie, red oak, ovilla hell even as far as corsicana fairfield?

In my case, my primary work locations are in the vicinity of Plano. Those places you mentioned are fine - but I would not want to drive through the city daily. Also it's a little hillier in the area I'm at with more trees...etc.Originally posted by joes01bullitt View Postjust out of curiousity why go up north if there are places like midlothian, waxahachie, red oak, ovilla hell even as far as corsicana fairfield?Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.

Google Maps says Forest Dr, Celina, TX 75009 is 13.8 miles off 380. Apologies for the inaccuracy.Originally posted by slow99 View PostIs she way on the north side of Celina in some new development? Celina's only 8 miles north of 380.
Yep, it's north of town, but the street was built out by a custom builder several years ago. Their brand new custom house was unoccupied for over three years before they bought it.When the government pays, the government controls.

Well, if all goes well, we'll be moving to Van Alstyne in a couple of months. Found a nice place east of 75 past what I think was downtown. I'm still dreading the commute but I'll work that out in a few months. It was just too dang nice and quiet out there. Plus we're on a cult-de-sac/dead end road with two vacant lots next to us.Originally posted by ceyko View PostI'm in Van Alstyne off 3356, it's not that bad - especially if you're thinking Anna. I'd check the crime rates there too.
I'm on the west side of 75 about 3 miles back. We dig it and it is plenty nice. However, check to the east of the thriving downtown city and there is SUPERB housing there with a lot of farms around as well.
Hope ya like copperheads though, they seem to love VA.
This if from '11 - but honestly living in VA is not bad. It used to be better but it seems like more and more are moving north so traffic is a little heavier all the way up.
Also, check out Howe, Gunter, Weston and Celina.

Yeah probably was east of the town, if you went over railroad tracks. Nice stuff around here, but something tells me it's not going to be quiet/small 10 years from now. Should make sure it is outside of city limits, have some fun with fireworks and all the other joys of being outside city limits.Originally posted by GeorgeG. Well, I knew it was a long shot but it looks like the house we put an offer w/ a contingency to sell ours is going to get tossed out their window tomorrow.
We're bummed out as this was the first house we both really liked and had just about all of the features we were looking for. I know there's more out there but it's such a beating. The good thing is that we're sold on the bigger lot size so I don't think we'll even go back to looking in the subs. We may take a look at those vacant lots that were next to it and just build....might even build the exact same house!!1!!1...jk.

Gotta love having a little bit of land with your home..
I had 0.12 acre at my old place in Lake Dallas. It was a nice home but just two bradford pair trees in the front and nothing in the back. We only went to the back yard to grill or play with the dogs when it was overcast outside..
Now on 1 acre smack dab in the middle of Denton. Perhaps 50 to 75 trees, maybe 10 of them are really huge. It can be 100F outside but still enjoyable with all that shade. I'll just put out a couple of misters or a sprinkler for Carpenter to run around. It is a PITA to maintain, but worth it..
