I bought my gas cart (club car DS) for $1800 off a car forum.
I've got way too much money in it...more than I care to admit. But my son and I had a blast rebuilding it. My wife and kids tool around the neighborhood with it and we haul it to the campgrounds behind the Motorhome. About all it's used for. Just got it back from the upholstery shop for the custom black and dark tan leather.

There are some good deals out there. Best models seem to be club car DS, club car precedent or the Yamaha. You can buy anything for these! Have fun with it!

And those two kids in the pic have probably beat the shit out of it...

I will get his info for you and send a PM.Originally posted by Gear_Jammer View PostThanks...nice find based on what I'm trying to do. It's hard to tell, but I think it's maroon and being a Texas Tech grad, there's no way I could ever own a maroon vehicle.
I'd have to get it painted. His price seems high for a stock 2006, even with low usage, but I might be interested for the right price. Are you a member of that forum? If so, can you get the guy's contact info and PM it to me? Thanks.

They are in the SEC now so it would be alright, now if it was orange that is a no go.Originally posted by Gear_Jammer View Post

I would love to get one soon, but I'm not in any hurry. I've been casually looking for a while and can't figure out why the prices are all over the map for these things. It would be nice if these things had hour meters or odometers so you could tell just how used they are.Originally posted by juiceweezl View PostBe patient. I bought mine used of CL for about $2400 if I remember correctly.

Cops don't mind (in my town) as long as you follow the traffic laws (even on the FM roads surrounding our development). I'd guess the police have the legal right to give everyone a ticket, but they are cool.

A lot of people in my neighborhood have UTVs, quads, carts and dirtbikes and roll around on the street.

I think the likelihood of them posting up on a corner and ticketing folks is slim to none, kinda like the beer thing, don't start none won't be none.Originally posted by Sgt Beavis View PostInteresting.. I didn't think an HOA had any say as to what can or cannot be driven on a road. Even if it is in a community.. I wonder what the cops would say to that.
