That's very professional of him. He could have easily just ignored everything and decided to stop being an advertiser here. Good for you!!

Good deal.Originally posted by Rreemo View PostWanted to give you guys an update....
Tony had sent me a PM over the weekend, letting me know that it would be Monday before he could make anything happen on my deal, and he made a promise to be back in touch.
I'm happy to say that the man kept his promise. Tony called me this afternoon to let me know that he has gotten approval to issue me a refund for the amount I was out on my deal....which was almost $4K. He was pleasant to speak with, very professional, and he made no excuses...just interested in righting these wrongs. I think he is genuinely interested in rebuilding positive relationships in this community and beyond.
Tony said that it will be a few days before the check is actually issued...he offered to mail it to me or invited me to come by and pick it up in-person - whatever works best for me. I told him to just let me know when he has it in his hand, and I'll see what works best.
If I can make it work with my schedule, I'd prefer to drive out there and meet him in-person....I want to put a face with a name, and I intend to shake his hand for making this deal right in the end.

Or cook it yourself and "give" him the lapdance? He'd prefer that.Originally posted by BradM View PostRreemo, are you going to buy talisman a steak dinner and a lap dance?
Tony, well done. It's nice to see a business that gets shit done ethically.Originally posted by stevoNot a good idea to go Tim 'The Toolman' Taylor on the power phallus.

"Making it right" or not, one should always assume a dealership is trying to screw you. They only have to deal with you until you sign or walk out - you have to live with that purchase for a long time.Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.

I am glad that you gave me the chance to make it right. I appreciate the kind words. I am sorry that it took so long to get this whole thing figured out but I am glad that you got the resolution you wanted and deserved. From the replies, it looks like we took a step in the right direction today but I do not want to lose sight of the future. Again, I want to stress to the members here that we are in it for the long haul. Please contact me at agonzalez@vtaig.com for any future needs. There will be more mistakes. We are not perfect but I hope this shows you all that I am willing to work through any issue at any time. Looking forward to meeting you and the other members of DFWMUSTANGS. Would love to get to know you all better. But no lap dances.Originally posted by Rreemo View PostWanted to give you guys an update....

I respectfull disagree. Mr. Rreemo bought his truck almost a year ago. If that were the case he would not have gotten a resolution. There is no time limit to our service. I believe that our job starts when the sale occurs. They become a part of our family when they purchase here. We are not out to screw anyone. We are here to take care of our customers.Originally posted by ceyko View Post"Making it right" or not, one should always assume a dealership is trying to screw you. Wellllllllllll, let's be honest here, Tony. You guys didn't search Jason out just to take care of him. As a matter of fact, it sounds like you previously blew him off and me thinks this whole deal with taking care of him is just your way of saying "Hey, look at us doing a good thing !!!".Originally posted by GVFTONYG View PostI respectfull disagree. As soon as I found out about the situation, I did search him out and fix his issue. Not because I wanted to fool a bunch of members in to thinking that one issue was going to change the way people think of us here. I did it because it was the right thing to do. I understand that there will be people that still think this is a smokescreen. I am interested in building relationships with people that are willing to give us a chance. That is all I am asking for. A chance to show people that we aren't a typical car dealership. Mr. Rreemo is only one case. We are not going to stop there. There is plenty of work to do still. This is one small step. I do not expect the members on here to be won over by one event. I just hope that they will at least give us that chance. Thank you for the feedback.Originally posted by Wanderer View PostWellllllllllll, let's be honest here, Tony. You guys didn't search Jason out just to take care of him. Thank you for the feedback. I am looking forward to the opportunity.Originally posted by BLAKE View PostAnd that right there is how it's done. I'm interested to see if it'll work when I'm due for a new Mustang (it'll be another year and a half), if I ask for the "bottom line, let's not waste time" kind of deal, if that'll actually happen.
