  • Enlisting DFWM to help me find my next car

So I sold my Royal Blue Hatch... sad day but ready to find the next. I figured since I am a few states north of you guys that I could use your help or contacts to find my next car.

I would prefer it be one you know of personally and not just a random car for sale but that limits me as well.

    Open to various things:

Obvious another fox- VERY clean cars only looking for 350-400hp. AC a must...black interior would be nice.

    Another mustang...SN95 maybe... I dunno

Classic of any sort- Really like the idea of something older w/ a newer driveline but know that is going to push my price range. I was thinking if it goes down this road that a make/model that is less prominent would be cool. Could also just be a nice car or truck..

Anyhow thanks in advance and I'm looking forward to the hunt. If I don't find anything by December I am going to head up to Mecum KC and do some looking. Never been before and probably won't buy anything but everyone says that the KC auction has much more realistic prices.

What's your price range? If you do go to the auction, plan to go on the first day, and stay as long as it takes to find the right car. Seems to me like the deals go on the first day of auction.

Yea auction isn't likely due to my budget but I have seen some nice tricks go through. I would only go first day but probably wouldn't have the balls to buy.

Can't afford new 5.0. As a firefighter. Well I could but id rather be living easy in retirement.

            Whoops!

            Edited:
Around 12k or less. Lots of good foxes for under 12k when patient.

Ok, and this is for a toy, not a daily, right?

Good link. My car was right on par w/ that if not nicer. Almost the exact same mods and I only got 12.5. I think he is dreaming.

I saw a red 66 coupe today for sale, twice in two different places in Fort Worth. Very nice looking with black pony interior. Found it on CL, asking 15k. I think it's too high, but looks to be a really nice car. I'd get something like that before a fox, but that's me.

                              Edit: found it
