Well, that's that...I called him and told him I'd take his offer. I didn't mention it before, but this is a guy that tried to buy the car from the previous owner before I got it...I moved on it quicker than he did, and now he's tracked me down over a year later. This guy has a family with some small kids, and this car will be something they can all fit in together, and still have some fun. That makes it a little better for me knowing that too.

I am taking a little bit of a loss, but we've had fun with it and put some miles on it too....and I do think it's a good offer. The car is pretty unique...seems to be either love-it or hate-it with most folks, but you can't argue that these things are pretty rare to come across. Chevrolet only built a little over 40,000 in 1970, and only ~11,000 of those were the Nomad model like this one. Considering most folks didn't bother restoring wagons for a lot of years, I wonder how many actually survived the crusher.

Anyways, I appreciate the feedback! I think my mind was already leaning that way...just always feels better to hear others agree.

That's a shame you're going to sell it, but I was going to tell you to get rid of it too before I scrolled all the way down. Neat car, but I'm sure you'll have something interesting to replace it with.

Awesome nomad man... seen her a few times up close. Sounds like a good deal for the new owner.

Very nice. I wish I had 18k available to try and swoop it up.

I may be old by the time the car is finished.

Sometimes the best part of owning a car was knowing that you owned it and had fun with it. I always love looking to the next car and moving on thou. Congrats on the sale!

                            I'm already old.

                            ...that's probably why I own a wagon!
