More annoyed at the insinuation that this site should/can be anything more than it is. We ALL have a common interest, cars. But this is not a Mustang site anymore.
My point is more about the need for newbs (which we all were, once) to remove the sand from their vag. Other members too. I don't care if Eric and Matt want to burn a thread to the ground. Let it happen, I'm sure that something golden will be mined out of it. And, new members that start a "look at me" thread are idiots that need to be flamed.
I have nothing against new blood, or fresh topics. Be smart about how either is presented though.

It's not just about making content, it's varying opinions on content that's interesting to read. Reading the same 50 opinions over and over isn't as interesting as reading 100's of different ones.
The whole 'eat our young' mentality is lame. It might have existed in 2004, but it wasn't that way when I started reading in 2000 and signed up in 2001. This was much more of a community then, and we welcomed new people not just online but at various meets. Sure there has always been shit talking among friends, but the mentality to drive off new members didn't exist. If it did, this place would have never gotten off the ground.
The people that are voicing concerns are only doing so because they care about this place, and don't want to see it fade away. I think it's better to identify a problem and propose a solution rather than to just disappear like so many have already done.

Do you do anything but troll and talk shit?
Perhaps if any of you bitching would like to chat about the best way to curb the site's death, you couple follow this link. First Wednesday.

Who was the last new member we ran off?Originally posted by UserX View PostI'm suggesting to be nice to new members, not bitching. Sorry you're not able to make that distinction.

I personally dont care about the "hazing" that goes on here, but you have to admit it's part of the reason why this place is just a fraction of what it once was.
