You will need to inspect in May. When your registration goes out, the state should be able to electronically verify your car has been inspected, get your registration, and wait until the following registration renewal date to inspect again.

Come march if you have an inspection sticker on your car, scrape it off. Youll have to get it inspected 90 days prior to your registration expiring. So if you just registered your vehicle you will not have to get it inspected this year until your registration comes back around regardless of when your inspection goes out. The end price of the inspection is still the same, the only difference being youll pay part of it to the station and then the rest will be added to registration.

Sweet. I registered mine yesterday, and my inspection expires tomorrow. So I get a year with no inspection?Originally posted by blackedv View PostCome march if you have an inspection sticker on your car, scrape it off. Doesn't work. Tried it years ago to avoid tolls when they weren't charging out of state drivers. I just bought an out of state car with good tags = problem solved.Originally posted by SMKR View PostIm about to ready to go across the red river and get a PO box to register my vehicles in Oklahoma to avoid this crap
They've closed most loopholes now.

My registration renewed in December 2014 and my inspection expired the end of January 2015. I will let the inspection ride until later this year. Interestingly, the online renewal website did not offer multi-year registration renewals this past December.

I would be guessing that you would have to get a new inspection each time before you get registration unless they would exempt the year old new car inspection due at time of second year ownership registration, since the new car inspection of two years now doesn't require reinspection in its second year and now new registration requires new inspection every year for renewal. Although I could be misunderstanding and be guessing wrong.Originally posted by Cooter View Postwhy would you guess that?
