My in-laws have that same fridge (or at least one that looks identical) and I fucking hate it. The ice cubes it makes are tiny, like 1/3 to 1/2 the size of a respectable ice cube, so they melt fast. And when it's full, you can get maybe 4-5 average glasses of ice out of it before it's empty. That's a problem when your ice is small and melts fast. We end up going to the store to buy bagged ice often, because we run out. It has a button you can press to cause it to make ice faster, and that seems like an absurd idea to me. Why wouldn't it always make ice as fast as it could? The water dispenser is painfully slow, and it doesn't come out very cold at all. The right side door is designed to where you can open just the outside panel, and that panel has a clear door on the inside of it, which likes to come open at the slightest touch, which is annoying when you don't need it open. It keeps stuff cold and looks neat, but that's about the only good thing I can say about it. I wouldn't own an LG.

I've been looking through reviews and it seems like all refrigerators are shit these days.

I need a stainless steel, french door, counter depth. LG, Samsung, Whirlpool all seem like they have the same problems.

What unit do you guys have and how long has it last?

Also any leads as to a store that can deliver asap. Going to go to a couple scratch and dent places tomorrow.

    Thanks!

My house is weird, and we had to get a special size. Standard sized refrigerators were too wide. When looking, taking the size in to consideration, and the features we had to have (french door, stainless, water and ice in door), we had a whopping 5 refrigerators to choose from. Of course this also translates to expensive. Normal price was $3200, and with the holiday sale it was $2000, and we got 0% for 6 months from Sears.
A real baller woulda bought a bigger house with a bigger kitchen, so you can get a bigger fridge.

I purchased two Samsung refrigerators from Lowes recently... had good reviews at the time, but now (after two years) both ice makers/dispensers are having issues.
Seems to be a common problem based on later reviews.

I did purchase service policies on both, but the repair dude has been unable to get 'em working properly thus far.

I like Samsung products, but the ice maker problems are starting to get a little frustrating at this point.

Yeah I've had a lot of fridges for 5 years no problems then they just start sucking. I still don't know of a great brand. My Dad had one before moving here from 60s or 70s that still ran fan with no problems.

EER makes new stuff suck I guess.

Thanks guys. I'm hoping most of the reviews I've seen are the unlucky people. I guess I'll just roll the dice and see what happens.
