haha, Thanks for that. Needed a laugh this morning. Don't forget watching sports!Originally posted by BLAKE View PostThere kind of isn't a wrong decision there. For what you're using it for, the Air is solid. I use one every day for work and love it.

We'll go ahead and add that one to the list:

 [x] hates Macs

Edit: might as well put the whole list here too:

 [x] hates Star Wars
 [x] hates working on cars
[x] hates red accents on cars

I don't hate macs, it's just that he's spending a shit load of money on something a $300 PC laptop from best buy would more than handle.

I've had a Macbook Pro since 09 and it has been a great computer, charging port is a little wore out, but other than that it still works good. I will say after getting an Ipad last year I probably only use the macbook a couple times a week.Last edited by GrayStangGT; 09-02-2015, 09:07 AM.

It's not the hardware in most cases, it's the OS. OSX is a better platform, consistent.
Anyone that says their Windows based PC is better than a Mac has never used a Mac. I work in a Windows environment all day long, all my home devices are Apple. No comparison....

Take that back. I do have a Slate, still a dog slow turd.

Good luck getting long term support and warranty help the way Apple does with their products. You get what you pay for.Originally posted by Magnus View PostHoly mother of fuck. The non-mac laptop I could buy starting at $899 would punch the ever loving fucking dick of the Air into the dirt. What the fuck is wrong with people?

On the tablet note, I don't like tablets for doing anything more than very basic bullshit, if you want a mac, i'd get a cheap macbook air considering your use case, you get a very nice keyboard and trackpad so you can actually be productive. The surface pro 3 is also very nice, I also like the new yoga, if you want osx, get the air, I need to play with win10 but win8 was fucking awful, thank you apple for having a real desktop OS still.Interested in being a VIP member and donating to the site? i've learned that not being a retard about a pc purchase and how to use it usually extends the life of one to a very high level. I guess you do pay more for idiot proofing.Originally posted by A_A_G View PostGood luck getting long term support and warranty help the way Apple does with their products. Hold on, let me go jump in my fucking time machine that shows me all deals beyond major name brand items on one fucking page.Originally posted by Mach1 View PostAlright, go back in time, or hell, look today, I need a laptop that meets the following

False.Originally posted by Chopped54 View PostAnyone that says their Windows based PC is better than a Mac has never used a Mac.d.
My windows based PC is a better product for my environments, and suits my needs at a fraction of the cost. Yes, I have worked with macs. I've worked with them within their mac os, and with people who wanted me to use bootcamp to make their mac more suitable for their work environment.

$900 on a fucking Air is retarded.

You can all lie to yourself about it being a "better deal" or "solid quality product", but that's just personal preference as well.sigpic

They each have their place. Reliability, consistency, and function for me OSX wins all day long. In most workplaces it will never replace Windows.

Explain how that is going to prevent a manufacturer defect? I did just that and my pc's laptop hard drive began to act up and it finally died.Originally posted by Magnus View Posti've learned that not being a retard about a pc purchase and how to use it usually extends the life of one to a very high level. That's what so great about Apple, if something goes wrong with your device within the one year warranty period, stop by the Apple store and they'll either fix it or replace it. If you want additional coverage, you can get Apple Care Plus.

That's why you don't buy your iPad at the Apple store. They go on sale at brick and mortar stores all the time. I lucked out and got my iPad Air 2 64gb for $430 new at Staples.Originally posted by Magnus View Post

No Android or Windows device that I've ever owned has come close to any of my Apple products in terms of quality. They aren't even in the same universe when it comes to tech support and warranty.
