My buddy who is in the fed would be a much better charterer in a movie then me. His life is lived in brief burst of manic levels of freedom and activity. And while he was there, he met with Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir, a man accused of orchestrating genocide and other crimes against humanity.*The Washington Post*adds to these accolades:
Bashir is no ordinary world leader. He has an outstanding arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court, for example, for allegedly orchestrating genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes in Darfur. The country he leads is under a variety of U.S. sanctions. His government harbored Osama bin Laden for five years in the 1990s. A leaked U.S. diplomatic cable published by WikiLeaks even suggested he may have secretly stolen $9 billion in oil money.
The Mohamed family has a history with President*Bashir. Ahmed's father, Mohamed Elhassan Mohamed, ran*against him in two presidential elections, one just this past February, months before his son became famous for scaring a school half to death. However, Bashir allegedly blocked Mohamed's name from the ballot, leading to increased tensions between the two. But now, that tension appears to have subsided. (See photo above.)
