I'm sure there were options on who to send there. She has a small child, and there were probably better-suited veterans that would have gone. I'm betting she wanted that assignment to further her career and visibility/exposure. If they "forced" her to go into that situation, they could expose themselves to big-time lawsuits.Originally posted by Blakeski View PostHow do you not see that happening? It's the way buisness works! If someone can't do the job that they need done, there will always be someone who is willing to get ahead in life, and get shit done!

This. She wasn't forced to. She wanted to get promoted faster and the visiblity. I would bet she volunteered for the assignment. I bet there were alot of male seasoned reporters who were not allowed the opportunity. It's how the corporate world works.Originally posted by Vertnut View PostI'm sure there were options on who to send there. You honestly think that in tarhir square some silly egyptian fuck pulled out his wing wang and managed to penetrate this chick?Originally posted by jewozzy View PostSexual assault in Texas wouldn't just be getting grabbed I would assume it's that same way elsewhere...
I'm asking how it went from an alleged sexual assault to a full blown gang rape...?

I'm sure they wrote the article and during the fact checking they made sure to research the standards for Cairo...Originally posted by jewozzy View PostSexual assault in Texas wouldn't just be getting grabbed I would assume it's that same way elsewhere...Originally posted by racrguyWhat's your beef with NPR, because their listeners are typically more informed than others?Originally posted by racrguyVoting is a constitutional right, overthrowing the government isn't.

I'm thinking that most victims of sexual assault do not spend a week in the hospital.Originally posted by lo3oz View PostWhere does that article make mention of rape, much less gang rape?
It says she was sexually assaulted (probably got her t&a grabbed) and it's turned into this?
And I those guys are about as sexually repressed as they come. Regardless, of what may or may not have happened to her. She will never be the same.
