God this thread makes me miss having my own place and living alone. It's been a while since I was there but I must say, those were the best 3 years of my fucking life. I'm going absolutley ape shit crazy here in El Paso living with family! I want my own place so fucking bad!!!!

I set out to have the nicest, best looking yard on the block. It takes a lot of work to get it that way. I went through a complete yard demolition last year. Ripped out all the St. Augustine, leveled the yard, and seeded with bermuda. Also put in two flower beds, one of which is complete, and the other will be complete this year. It's a lot of fucking work, but it's therapeutic and gives me something to keep my mind off the divorce.

I remember the picks of your progress on the other board. It looked like alot of work. At least it is constructive. Hookers and blow may gain you fame and notoriety on here, but doesn't get you far in the real world.

The peace and quiet is nice, but, it can get lonely from time to time. I live in a house though, and there is ALWAYS something that needs to be done. Garage needs to be cleaned, yard needs to be mowed 2-3 times a week, remodeling, etc. There is rarely a dull moment, even when it's just me there.

Living alone for the first time, ever. Always had roommates, then the wife. My son is with me most of the time, but he stays at his step mom's 2-3 nights a week so he can see his cousins, sister, and stuff.
