Much rather live alone than with someone else. Lived alone multiple times.

I have lived alone for the past 5 years. Before that I had roomies. I have 2 dogs and there is alway plenty to do around the house. I like to peace and quit durning the week and end up having a dinner party every Sunday. That gets me though to the next Sunday. I have friends stop by every few days but I love it. ( I have never been married or have any kids and am 32)

I like dogs, I was going to wait till I got a house so he had a yard to hang out in, but might get one before.

Just find a dog park near your apartment if you really want one. That's what all my friends did - they met a ton of people that way.

Today I feel great actually, guess because I know I have to goto work and will keep my mind busy + I have some stuff to do before.

But seems the general Consensus is everyone loves living alone!

Only get the dog if you are into animals!
If you like dogs, they will help with the anxiety issues.
If you don't like dogs, they could make them worse.

Ok, my first time being alone in my own place, was married before then had a couple of roomies after the divorce. Moved back into my Mom's house due to anxiety issues (even with roomies) after divorce.

Well have been there way too long so this is day 1 in my new place (alone) and I'm feeling like shit.

I just hope something fucking clicks because this sucks. Sure place is nice but I just don't feel it right now.

I'm sure I will get some don't be a pussy responses and I surely understand that.

I dread when my kids all move out and my home is silent. I definitely won't know what to do with all that time. I wish you luck and hopefully you can share some of the things it is you found to pass the time.

You still have to venture out of the casa though, she won't come knocking on your front door. I agree with Forrest, be you and don't give a shit about anyone else, but get out and network.

Haven't read the thread completely but damn how I miss living alone again. Now I just cheerish every moment I get when I've got the house to myself.

I've lived alone for the last year and a half. I love it!! No one eats my food, house stays clean, no thermostat battles... Just peace and quiet. I do get lonely from time to time though and the house payment sucks now. One suggestion I have is find a good hobby and also, home improvements keep you busy and productive. Be careful with cable tv, it can make you fat and lazy. It's all in your mind. Remind yourself that you're very lucky to be in a position where YOU'RE in charge, not some naggy expensive woman or sloppy roommate. Enjoy.

Try it in a u-haul while towing a truck, it's not fun. I can see how cruisers can do the long distances, but you'd have to be nuts, stupid, or desperate to do it on a sportbike.
