Not really sure what a rag joint is, but if my 5 point harness doesnt hold me, Im screwed anyways in a fiberglass car.

In a wreck it will tear away and disconnect the steering so that it doesn't send the shaft through your chest.

Neither of mine have rag joints. Creates too much slop in the steering.

how exactly does it tear "away" when the shaft is straight down, seems like it would just cushion the shaft before it punches a hole in your chest.
