Sorry for the threadjack, man. The overall point is that the roundup is fun.

How old is he now? Pretty sure he was 12 in that pic.

Love that pic. What year is that? I wore that same jacket today, the sunglasses are in my car and shoes are in my closet. I might need some new duds.

    Awesome. Great choice.

The LSRU was the first place I ever drove my wagon to.

Its going to be a blast! Hopefully it is going on spring break so we can do a mini test to Weatherford/Mineral Wells.

Ive contemplated a couple times. Last summer, I was thinking about getting something more family friendly, and my daughter saw it and fell in love with it, so I decided to go all out for a while and get it as done as I can so we can all go cruise. I'm planning to have it running in a couple weeks, and drive it to the roundup in austin for a shakedown cruise. I dont want to have issues on the power tour.

    That's awesome.

Oh BTW, it appears some vandals snuck into your shop and tipped your car over on its side. I hope your sheet metal is OK.

    Ha!

Major stuff going on. A simple "hey, a gt40 headed roller 302 with a nice cam would be great" has turned into a 351w, 4r70w, procharger, and all new suspension and steering. After building the 302, and then finding the lightning 351w for a song, It's taken a while to get my funds built back up.

The suspension I decided on will be delivered friday, and I'll be making plasma love friday night. The kit I bought is an AJE "colt 65" that converts the car to a k-member style with fox-like tubular k member, arms, and coil overs. It requires me to buy a 351 swap pan (I JUST bought a new front sump 351 pan, painted it and put it on the motor!) and allows me to use fox swap longtubes, and sn95 spindles, brakes, and rack & pinion from a fox. It also allows me to cut down the strut tower for more room around the header area.

Here's a couple picts I found on a build thread ill be using as a guide.
