That's pretty cool, and you guys are the RR experts, but I gotta listen to the pocketbook here. I'm probably going to track the '86 with the old 302/GT40 setup that's in it for now, and wrench on a replacement mill on the side. I will say that on face value, I'm not that comfortable paying that much of a premium for a Boss block when a Dart block would save me $2000, but I'm willing to be wrong there.Originally posted by CYAZ06 View PostThat's nice too. what I like about the Ford Racing one is that it is made by Ford Racing....and has a 1 year warranty, even if you race it.....ZOMBIE REAGAN FOR PRESIDENT 2016!!! heh

Yeah....no worries. I know where you can get that motor for $7800. So the sting isnt so bad! The warranty is pretty cool too.
It'll hav a 90mm Lightning MAF, Anderson Power Pipe, Accufab 75mm throttle body. and Victor EFI intake. Along with the Stainless Works Long tubers and NASCAR style "Boom" tube, so it should be quit nasty. I am hoping to get at least 480 RWTQ at 3,500 RPMS. I know that's not much for the Strip guys....but it'll be fun when it pulls out of a corner!"Racing is life.....everything else is just waiting" - Steve McQueen

Ford racing doesnt build any of these motors, they are mass produced assembly line engines built by a texas company. Has been this way for years and what you see is what you get, no exceptions, no options. Ford racing engine offerings are ok at best. Yep......common knowledge. I suppose I should have said that Ford Racing "endorses" and warranties them. And they are Ford Racing Parts (except for the stuff they OEM). Friend picked 1 up from them a week ago. There will be some things I change on it, but other then that, i'll leave it alone. The boss block, heads, crank and pistons/rods, canton pan, edlelbrock race water pump will work just fine. I don't expect more for the price. Thanks for the FYI though.....allot of people don't know this.Originally posted by woody View PostFord racing doesnt build any of these motors, they are mass produced assembly line engines built by a texas company. The biggest bonehead move on that engine is the use of the 3/8 ths capscrew scat I beam rod, which is really meant for a stock block, so this prohibits a TON of potential sales to the power adder community. The factory always had the best stuff, now today the ford racing segment is a mere sheel, with a ton of "ok" reboxed ford racing parts. On the flipside I do realize ford must sell cars and not go fast parts.Originally posted by CYAZ06 View PostYep......common knowledge.
